Welcome to life in Reception

 

We wrapped up Spring 1, which was an amazing event at Stay and Play. They have settled confidently into school life and have developed new routines. This half-term they have explored seasonal changes, celebrated key events and taken part in many other learning experiences.

At stay and play, the children enjoyed many activities that were based on key events which were celebrated and around transport.  This is an opportunity to see your children's learning in reception. These events are Valentine's Day, Chinese New Year as well as pancake day. 

We continue to develop our phonics skills and practise writing words to build confidence and accuracy in reading and spelling.

Most of our reception classes did some cooking and made Valentine's Day biscuits and pancakes.            

                                                           

We would like to say a big thank you to all parents/carers for attending stay and play.
