Welcome to the website page for Crow class where you will see all the exciting learning we have done in and out of class. This page will be updated every two weeks, so I hope you enjoy the pictures.

In phonics, some of us have moved onto purple and orange books which shows great progress. Some of us are now writing ditties independtly which is amazing. Crow class often write sentences from their phonics lesson with their friends during their free flow time.

In the past two weeks, we have been looking at numbers bonds to 10. Children have to continue exploring addition, now looking specifically at the number bonds to 10. These are shown in a ten frame and using the whole-part model, which have both been used before as our Maths resources.

We enjoyed Friday girls football against the Yr 1 class and it was such a great time. This is a fantastic way to encourage girls to play football which is often seen as a 'boys sport'. The Crow girls did amazing and showed their dribbling and shooting skills. As you can see, I took it seriously and ended up on the pitch, but it was a great laugh!

     STEAM Week

British Science Week is entering its third decade in 2025, taking place on 7-16 March, and the theme to mark the start of this new era is ‘Change and adapt’! Each Year group was given a board game to create from scratch. The reception team was given Snakes and ladders, my favourite game. Each reception class had to make 6/7 boards and decorate them using different artists such as Kadinsky, Shinro Ohtake, Jeffery Pollock and many more as our inspiration. Crow class were in charge of the counters, and the other classes made the snakes, dice, and the ladders. Teamwork really makes the dream work. Below are the pictures which I am sure you will enjoy.
