    School Enterprise Challenge

Year 6 Enterprise Week: The Young Enterprise Fiver Challenge

In Year 6, students will take part in an engaging and hands-on Enterprise Week, where they will participate in the Young Enterprise Fiver Challenge.

Each team will be given a starting amount of £5, which they will use to create, market, and sell a product. Over the course of the week, students will collaborate in teams to brainstorm ideas, design their product, and manage their business from concept to sale. Alongside essential business skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, budgeting, and customer service, students will be encouraged to think creatively and sustainably.

Emphasis will be placed on making environmentally friendly choices in their product design and business practices, whether through upcycling materials, reducing waste, or promoting sustainability. As they sell their products, students will experience the process of reinvestment and profit-making.

The week will culminate in a competition where teams present their results, reflect on what they have learnt, and discuss how they could improve their business in the future. This challenge not only introduces students to entrepreneurial skills but also empowers them to consider the impact of their decisions on the environment, fostering a sense of responsibility and sustainability.
