Welcome to the website page for Crow class where you will see all the exciting learning we have done in and out of class. This page will be updated every two weeks, so I hope you enjoy the pictures.
In phonics, alot of progress has been made by each child. Some children are now moving onto orange books which shows amazing progress. Some are writing longer sentences independently and showing more confidence, which is great!
We will be looking at counting on and counting back from a given number in order to add and subtract for 2 weeks. Children will use the first, then, now structure to identify what number they are counting on, and how many they are counting on.
The next 2 weeks Crow class will be reading Handas Surprise, which is about a young girl, who plans to surprise her friend Akeyo with a basket of seven delicious fruits. As she walks, mischievous animals steal the fruits one by one. The story highlights the sights and sounds of an African village.
We will also be looking at Dear Zoo by Rod Campbell and Commotion in the ocean by Giles Andreae.
