We loved playing in our wild animals' zoo:
Phonics and Literacy
In phonics, we continued revising all the sounds, blending them, matching sounds with letters and writing words. Then we checked what we had written by sounding the words out. We also started to write short phrases using finger spaces, capital letters and full stops.
In Literacy, we named and described the animals from our books. We also wrote about any other animals we would love to get:
Maths
In Maths, we learnt about numbers to 20. We compared them and learnt about 1 more and 1 less. We did doubling and sharing. We also learnt what is a half.
In our PE lessons, we learnt how to use our space safely. We practised jumping off and landing safely. We used benches and apparatus. We practised different kinds of rolls. Moreover, we practised a variety of skills needed for Tag Rugby, such as catching, throwing and holding a ball. We also started to play Tag rugby preparing for our Sports Day.
Art
In Art, we painted, cut, stuck and made lots of different animals.
Mental Health week
We celebrated Mental Health Week from 11th May - 15th May. As part of the week, we came dressed up in green, the colour that makes us happy.
Walthamstow Library
We also visited our local library. We enjoyed looking at different books and reading them with our parents and teachers.
Safe Wheels Workshops
We started to learn how to use bikes and scooters safely. We had lots of fun as well.
Stay and Play
Thank you to all the parents who attended our Stay and Play session:
