Year 4 recently took part in an exciting poetry workshop and had a fantastic time exploring the world of poetry. The session began with the children watching talented poets perform a range of engaging and expressive poems, which inspired lots of laughter, curiosity and creativity.
After the performances, the pupils had the opportunity to become poets themselves. They wrote their own poems about their world, sharing their thoughts, ideas and experiences in imaginative ways. The workshop also gave them the chance to practise performing their poems aloud, building confidence as they shared their work with their classmates.
It was wonderful to see the children’s creativity shine as they experimented with words, rhythm and expression.
Year 4 showed great enthusiasm throughout the workshop and produced some thoughtful and entertaining pieces of poetry.
A big well done to all of our budding poets!
