Over the past two weeks, Year 6 have been learning about sustainability and the small actions we can all take to help protect our school and the wider environment.

Using Old Enough to Save the Planet by Loll Kirby as our focus text, the children explored different ways in which young people can make a positive difference through simple, everyday actions.

They worked towards identifying and carrying out small acts that could benefit our school and the environment. As part of the project, the children also made their own reusable tote bags from old T-shirts, helping them to understand the importance of reusing and recycling materials rather than throwing them away. The project encouraged the children to think about how their choices can have an impact and how even small actions can contribute to a more sustainable future.
