At Mission Grove Primary School, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to thrive. We are committed to removing barriers to learning and providing personalised support so that all pupils can reach their full potential.
We collaborate closely with families, staff, and local specialists across the borough to ensure every child is supported, included, and valued in our school community.

Every child develops at their own pace, but if you notice persistent difficulties with learning, communication, social skills, or behaviour, your child may benefit from extra support. At Mission Grove Primary School, our Inclusion Manager works with parents and teachers to identify needs early and provide tailored support.
We provide a range of support, depending on your child’s needs, including:
Small group or one-to-one support with a teaching assistant
Targeted interventions such as 'Bucket Time' and Speech and Language Therapy sessions
Access to sensory resources and regulation strategies
Support from external professionals, when applicable, such as speech and language therapists, educational psychologists, and occupational therapists
Your child’s progress is tracked closely through classroom observations, assessments, and regular discussions between teachers, TAs, and the Inclusion Manager. You will receive updates and have opportunities to meet with us to discuss your child’s progress.
An EHCP is a legal document for children with more complex needs. It outlines the support your child should receive in school, at home, and in health settings. the Inclusion Manager can guide you through the process and support applications if needed.
Please note that approving and creating an EHCP is the responsibility of Waltham Forest's SEND team and can be a lengthy process.
We believe that parents are key partners in your child’s learning; this is also a stipulation of the SEN Code of Practice, 2015. You may be invited to contribute to planning, review meetings, and discussions about targets and strategies, ensuring your child’s needs are fully understood and met. Please contact the school office if you wish to meet sooner.
