Week beginning 8th December 2025:
The highlight of the week was our visit to the Science Museum. As a part of their History learning, students have been exploring the life of Amy Johnson and A. V Roe.

Celebrating writers in Chiff Chaff, all of whom have been working super hard. Well done!

The Year 1s had their Santa Dash, which was certainly a test of stamina that all the children surpassed! Many of the students ran more than 5 laps! They were all awarded a certificate for their great efforts.

During the week, the students have been developing their understanding of numbers from 1-10. They have been using a range of manipulatives to further support their number bonds. Please do continue this practice at home.

They must bring their phonics books and reading records everyday so they can read with the teaching staff during early morning reading sessions.

Chaffinch class has had lots of fun creating clay pumpkins! They have been inspired by the book 'Pattan's Pumpkin', which they are reading during their literacy lessons.

We explored the wildlife garden and discussed how we can recycle our plastic to make an array of useful things, like bird feeders!

We also started creating our very own toys using plastic bottles brought in from home.

The children have started practising their phonics and spelling within class. We are on week 2. Please continue this at home. If you do require any further information or advice on how to support your child, please do approach the teacher.
